Welcome to She’s The B.O.S.S. Enterprises where it’s not just a business but a “LifeStyle”.
Founded in 2012 and dedicated with a vision and a passion to inspire, motivate as well as uplift our community, STB was birthed to promote personal and professional development in entrepreneurs.
Our Goal is to provide a network, a platform as well as resources that will help others reach their dreams of a successful business. Our motto is from Concept to Completion our teachers, mentors or coaches set out goals, strategies and outcomes for learning and training. Plans will vary between our client’s individual needs and we welcome the opportunity to work with women as well as empower them.
She’s The B.O.S.S. –
Embodied with a strong mission to instill qualities to build future entrepreneurs and strengthen existing ones; “She’s The B.O.S.S. (Business Owners Steadfast & Strong) is an innovative economic development strategy that promotes women’s economic independence and personal development, as well as community economic development, through the provision of entrepreneurial education, training, and other support services. With a focus to provide services and tools our mission is to not only help you succeed in your business but your personal life as well.
In 2015, single women headed 26 percent of Baltimore’s households, and all of these households were families living at or below poverty level. The Maryland Alliance For the Poor has shown although “Maryland’s status as the wealthiest state in the country disguises the fact that at least one in every 10 of our neighbors are struggling to make ends meet”
She’s The B.O.S.S. has assumed a role in becoming a solution to empower women, a nonprofit organization that would help low-income and disenfranchised women attain self-sufficiency through entrepreneurial training and skills.
Over the past years, STB has grown to serve all socioeconomic groups, genders, and culturally diverse populations in the State of Maryland via humanitarian projects and educational resources by way of media broadcasting. Furthermore, since its inception STB has worked with a variety of businesses and partnered with many micro-entrepreneurs from training to technical assistance programs providing exposure to where resources can be located.
Currently STB is an all-inclusive training and technical assistance program. It provides access to capital, mentoring, business consultation, networking opportunities, and numerous other resources for starting, stabilizing, and/or expanding businesses. STB clients are carefully screened to assure that they have both a viable business idea and the “entrepreneurial spirit” necessary for success.
STB offers a twelve week (108 hours) Business Skills Training Course (BSTC) that requires clients to complete a comprehensive written business plan. After graduating from the course, clients have access to the following services: mentoring, microloan funding, professional business consulting, community networking, Internet training, government certification and procurement, and resource sharing.
In 2017, STB will launch our Next Level Program, which is designed to infuse peer support, diversity training, and leadership skills into Business Skills Training Course (BSTC). Through groups led by BSTC graduates, STB offers in-class training and plans to offer advanced training to industry-specific groups of program graduates via workshops, clinics, and peer-led discussions on topics such as marketing, business growth, financing, savings and lending, and customer service.
It is our goal to be a contender for receiving the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations Standards for Excellence seal of approval in 2018. This seal of excellence is awarded only to the best managed and responsibly governed nonprofit organizations that have demonstrated compliance with 55 specific standards based on honesty, integrity, fairness, respect, trust, responsibility, and accountability.
